Samaritan Hospital is a 55 bed acute care personnel located between two of the largest cities in Ohio, Cleveland and Columbus. It has given the city of Ashland in 1912 by local philanthropists JL Clark and his wife, Mary. Mr. and Mrs. Clark decided to build the Samaritan Hospital after listening to a Sunday School lesson on the Good Samaritan, pointing Ashland needed "a sick hospital where no one ever refused the attention." Since expanded services, the organization became known as Samaritan Regional Health System (SRHS).
As a non-profit organization, SRHS income is reinvested in the system, directly affecting the health of the community. SRHS dollars earned allows facilities to provide next-generation technology and advanced equipment alike .
